WHAT?

If you are reading this you have more than likely already experienced a previous Forwatt / Fledge event.

Our core philosophies are based around providing the opportunity for creative freedom and growth, unblocking, encouraging and inspiring you to reach new heights as an artist.

This is our second annual january event. Those that attended Birdlings 1.0 will have an understanding of what we are aiming to achieve..

*Fledge select the most beautiful inspiration place we can find.

*We set up a selection of excellent resources and stimulations.

*We employ an experienced professional crew to capture your creativities.

*We act as facilitators to encourage and allow you, the artist, to create your best work in a judgement free environment - bouncing ideas off other artists of various disciplines..

*You don't need to worry about shopping, cooking or making sure your gear is recording properly. You are free to focus on one thing only;

Being as beautifully artistic as your potential allows.

August 2011 - Quicksand studios Christchurch

Description:

It's been a while since the last Fourwatt 'unblock, unleash, grow, inspire' event, but here it is at last. Expect the unexpected - as per usual - but also expect the expected warmth, inspiring energy, and safe creative haven that you would find at any Fourwatt happening.

We'll have live music and live art.. maybe even a moving sculpture if we're lucky... all good souls will be welcomed with open arms and creative tools.

Snowpark

February 2010 - after the earthquake.

Our scheduled event in Lyttelton was cancelled due to the damage from the earthquake. Fourwatt was graciously hosted and housed by Snowpark, Wanaka, for a week of healing, rejuvenation and re-connection through art and music.

January 2011 - Birdlings Flat

Nestled in the stunning and remote location of Birdlings Flat, near Akaroa, New Zealand, the Fourwatt (4wa / whatfor?) crew settled in for a week of haymaking while the sun shined.

Fourwatt specialises in developing the 'creative culture' required to create innovative and break-through art (across every genre). At Birdlings, the musical element of Fourwatt was in... well.. its element as the location, the artists and the state-of-the-art gear worked together to inspire some amazing performances from our amazingly talented group of cohorts. There are about four albums just waiting to be cut from the recordings of this week. Wow, guys, what a blow - away week!
